What happens when tradition is made available to the design and the contemporary? Birth of a good communication project.
Twenty-one ceramic companies and one designers have created an ambitious project: "Ceramica MadeinUmbria."
The project, strongly desired by the Regional Authority of Umbria, aims to promote artistic ceramics as a major production sector in Umbria, yet with a historic, family tradition behind it and a strong physical presence in the local community.
"The banquet contemporary"
is the central point where the ancient tradition of conviviality remains an essential moment in modern culture with changes that are associated with the Italian concept of "aperitivo": catering, banqueting and tastings.
It's so that artisans have created the 45 prototypes designed by the brilliant designer Elizabeth Furin.
The pieces, now owned by the Regional Authority of Umbria , have therefore given the revival of umbrian ceramic art with a principal event in a unique location together a big show photographic by Steve McCurry in Perugia: Sensational Umbria.
From tomorrow until 16 September, the exhibition is also present at HOMI in the Fair Milan.
