I, who had so many dreams
The day before my birth is the second appointmentof the series of exhibitions Being twenty which will be at Marconi Gallery for all the 2014/2015 exposition season.
"Representing man, his universe, his psyche is one of the many facets of contemporary art. Senoner is concentrating mostly on human figure in his art research, then from this introspective research is starting to choose forms, expressions, materials. His subjects are always teens, people who are in the age going towards adulthood, with all the insecurity and fragility of leaving the safety of domestic dimension. In this process a key role is the element of his most important art research: the wood. A material chosen each time following the subject of the work, exhaulted by its grains, on which Andreas Senoner intervenes also with painting and inserting other materials that complete the visual and psycological quality. His works seem to us very human and near, but at the same time far and iconic, able to meet a sense of sacredness and immutability to what is the age of mutability for excellence in a human being life."
