Thursday, April 30 inaugurated the new space Armani/Silos.
Built in 1950 for storing cereals, today this ample 4500 square-metre space spread over four floors houses a unique selection of the fashion designer's creations, divided into themes that tell the story behind their aesthetic and their history.
In this large area of 4500 square meters divided over 4 floors, you can enjoy a selection of cloths from 1980 until today. The selection, which does not follow a chronological order, tells the story and shows the styles divided by themes, themes that have inspired and continue to inspire the creative work of Giorgio Armani. On the ground floor, the section Stars and the section dedicated to Daywear. The first floor dedicated to Esotismi. On the second floor, Cromatismi. On the third and last floor the section Luce.
A museum that collects in addition to clothes, a digital archive where to find a rich collection of images of the characters who have worn the clothes on display, as well as photos of fashion shows and advertising campaigns. Photographs and technical specifications of the cloths and accessories on display illustrating the themes that have inspired and continue to inspire the creative work of Giorgio Armani.
