Creative cuisine and art, the two faces of Vettor
In the Umbertino district to Bari, a new creative cuisine project was inaugurated inside an art gallery.
The restaurant is the meeting of distant cultures, such as Japanese and southern Italian cuisine, which Chef Nicola Ricci wanted to connect after his Asian experiences. Experiment ingredients, interpret tradition, transform and enrich each recipe with its passion and originality.
Creativity and culinary art is in harmony with the cultural place.
Entitled "Vettor", in memory of the artist / architect of Puglia origin Vettor Pisani, of which is exposed in the central room one of his most intimate works depicting his partner in profile, the spirit of the local is that of sharing: from food to works, in an atmosphere of beauty and wisdom, originality and tradition. In addition to the permanent works, the artistic project, curated by the gallery owner and collector Michele Spinelli, includes cyclical exhibitions by contemporary artists, with particular attention to design, craftsmanship and video art.
The architectural design and the design of the furnishings have been entrusted to the architect Simone Esposito who has kept the Umbertino style in the colors, sizes and decorations adding technological innovation and contemporary design. Like in the bathroom, signed by the French Sarah Jerome and Gael Davrinche, who with the self-produced artistic ceramics baptize the «Façon-Façon» brand.
Vettor is a new way of meeting, of putting together, of knowing and sharing, of savoring food while contemplating a work of art and vice versa.
